This pendant was cast in polyester resin. The setting made to fit by a xxxxx a jewellery workshop speciallising in coin mounts. It was made in sterling silver and the plated with 15 microns of gold. Plating gold onto silver is much more reliable than other metals. The finished item looks exactly the same as gold and always will. This pendant (my own work) is 20 years old! It could still be made and sold very profitably at it's original retail price of £24.00!
